Even though the Short Branch Saloon in Crystal, last bar on the left (past the brothel on the left), is a little far removed from the town of Pahrump, Miss Kathy wants people to remember her establishment catches the first of the tourists; including buses, as they come off of Highway 95 heading for Pahrump.
The Short Branch Saloon or as locals refer to it as Short Branch is more than your local saloon. Miss Kathy offers the best hospitality around. She has the coldest drinks, tastiest food and she will even strike up a friendly conversation with you. While you are enjoying your cold drinks, gaming at the bar don't forget to step outside in the evenings to enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the desert mountains. If you have had a little to much to drink for the ride home, don't fear, as she has 6 rooms available out back with air conditioning and showers to rest your head for the night. When you are there and Jack comes in don't forget to say 'hi ' to him, but don't even think about giving him any food scraps from you plate.
Come out and Howl at the Moon Friday and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. If you feel like cooking but don't want to clean up after your done eating your steak, give Miss Kathy a call with a 24 hour notice and she will have your steak with trimmings ready for you. We will accommodate one to many. If you would like a book a private party contact Miss Kathy and she can arrange it for you.
Planning on an event, we offer the saloon as a stop for Poker runs. Or maybe you just want to ride out for the day with your friends. We have many biker events that pass through here all year long. So if you are on your bike for a day ride stop on in and have a drink and enjoy the live music when it is available. We have plenty of parking for both bikes and cars.
Own a horse and want to enjoy some desert riding, give Miss Kathy a call and you can enjoy the Short Branch as your staging area for your rides. There are many trials around in the hills to follow. Go for a nice day ride or an evening sunset ride and when you return hitch your horse up to an 'old fashion' hitching post and come on in and have dinner & drinks before packing up and heading out.
